Ingredients

Serves : 3
  • 1cup white peas aur safed batane


  • 1finely Chopped onion


  • 1 finely chopped tomato


  • 1 tbsp salt


  • 1 tbsp Turmeric powder


  • 1 tbsp Red chilli powder


  • 1 tbsp dhaniya powder


  • 1/4 tbsp garam masala powder


  • 2 tbsp coriander for garnish


  • 1tbsp oil


  • 1 tbsp gingergarlic paste

Directions

  • Rinse the white peas and then soak the peas in enough water for 6 hours.
  • Drain the water and rinse white peas in fresh clean water.
  • In a pressure cooker add soaked peas and 2 glass of water, salt and Turmeric powder.
  • Pressure cook the vatanas close the lid and give 1whistle on high flame or 5whistle on low flame or until the peas become soft
  • In a non stick pan ,add 1 tbsp oil, chopped onion fry onion till golden brown add gingergarlic paste and saute for 1 min.
  • Add chopped tomato, Red chili powder, dhaniya powder, garam masala powder and cook for 10mins or till oil separate.
  • Add pressure cooked vatanas into prepared mixture and mix nicely and cook for 5 min.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves and serve with hot puris.
